This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I try to post my favorite icons, i actually make much more then is actually here, but i just like these the most. I usually also post a little "story" with them. It can be strange sometimes, but usually its what i think about when i look at the icon or what i had in mind when i was making it ^^
Oh i am sorry to disappoint but at this time i cannot find time nor inspiration to create something, things are very hectic and it will be quite some time before i will upload any new things.
I do write for myself mainly, nothing too grand although i never could bring myself to sit down and do some actual reading on the topic, so i was glad to see something about haiku when i was going trough the DDs of the day.
I finished reading your Haiku Theory part 1 (hoping for part 2 soon ) and i enjoyed it greatly, for it pointed out somethings to me that i was previously not aware of. Also the first haiku that is used in the essay,
"summer grasses– all that remains of soldiers' dreams "
gave me a bit different picture then the one described later on in the essay, so it was very interesting to read another interpretation of it.
To me the summer grass meant peace and victory meaning that the soldiers, even thought they are not returning home, have accomplished something and their dreams did come true. Although its not all about their manifested dreams but also about the soldiers' death itself, if that makes any sense at all. Bittersweet.
Its amazing what 3 lines and a few words can tell, even though they say a picture can say a 1000 words, i think i prefer those words or even less. Anyway before i get of track, thanx for sharing your haiku s and your knowledge with us ^^
Interesting - thanks so much for the detailed comment. I do think that the other reading you have supplied is possible in the Basho poem, but given he was a Buddhist pacifist, I don't think he would have seen war as leading to peace. But that is not to say your reading is wrong - no readings are wrong. I think very similarly to Basho, in the sense that if one attains peace by killing and war, then how can this peace be expected to last?? Surely the next person to have a problem with something will turn to war (as they have seen it work before - and it is the example set). For me peace must be achieved without war, or else war will be the solution for other things - it will be seen as a means to an end (peace). But peace in-itself cannot be achieved through war, because peace would not have war in it. Does that make sense?
It is amazing what 3 lines can produce. There is a Taoist quote that I thought was applicable here:
one two three the ten thousand things
Thankyou so much for the great comment and the discussion. I am really pleased you enjoyed it.
